Technically, you could be charged with criminal use of a communication device, but it would really depend on what you said or did during the call. Generally, the police don't worry too much about harmless joke phone calls, but crossing the line is another issue. It could become harassment, hence illegal. Today, there are so many ways to find out who is calling you, that I wouldn't recommend it.

∙ 14y agoYes, I prank called 911 before when i was younger and the cops came to my house and thought my parents beat me. I did it later in my youth and got arrested.....I was pretty stupid.

This is a juvenille case. As long as actions didn't take place (no physical harm to the person) the consequences won't be as bad. A judge will decide (could be a fine, community service, etc.) but as long as you are still not a legal adult (18) you can't go to jail. Unless you murdered someone..but thats totally different.
