Why do roller skates have tiny wheels?

Some skates have smaller wheels. These are generally on artistic style skates. I believe the idea behind it is that they have less surface area on the floor to slide better when twirling and such to be more similar to ice skating styles. They are also less likely to collide with each other and lock up. If you don't think you like this kind, look into speed skates. They have the larger wheels and are popular right now.

What is faster roller blades or roller skates?

I've done both ice skating ad roller skating. I enjoyed ice skating but I wanted expand myself I bought a good fitting pair of roller skates! I found body position was every important. In my opinion the Biggest difference between ice and roller skating are "edges"! Ice skates have one blade on each boot--the ice blade is very narrow--but is still has an inside and a outside edge Roller skates have four wheels and each wheel has an inside and outside edge BUT the edges are 3/4" apart from each other!! When I was ice skating we didn't have inside ice rinks! I had a problem with edges in completion---but I finally found how to REALLY master theoss edges!!!

What is the similarities of a bicycle and a car?

bicycle is a vehicle usually with two wheels and a car is a vehicle with four wheels......Additional answerAlways with two wheels. The definition of bicycle is a two-wheeled vehicle. If it has more or less than 2 wheels then it's not a bicycle.A car is motorized and a bicycle is not. A bicycle saves energy. Of course, a 'motor' or 'electric' bicycle can be powered. Fundamentally a 'bicycle' has two wheels and a car has more (usually four).

Which is better skating or bmxing?

There's really no point in talking about "better" in a case like this. Skates are possibly a bit more practical. Skates are easier to travel with than a BMX. Stick them in a bag and you're done. Skates takes less space to store. Since they're easier to store, they're less likely to get stolen. Since there are fewer parts, skates are less likely to break. A BMX - with brakes - is a bit easier to use in traffic. Although compared to most other bikes, BMXes sucks for distance riding.

How much are ice-skates?

I dont know what kind of boots your talkig about, I mean for what sport? Speed skating boots range from 300-1500 CAN dollars, Hockey skates can be from about the same but maybe a bit less. But if you join a club you can most-likely rent them for much less.

Why are wheels circular?

Ciruclar wheels have less friction with the ground as contact is always a single tangetial point.

What is the difference using speed skates versus hockey skates?

the difference is the amount of blade that is touching the ice surface and the lbs per inch so with a longer blade it spreads the weight out more and you have less weight on your blades

What is the difference between hockey skates and figure skates?

Figure skate blades are thicker, and the balance point is at the back, with more blade extending past the heel compared to hockey skates. They also have toe picks, to help with jumps and other maneuvers for figure skating. Figure skates are also "rockered" differently, meaning the blade curves differently, so turning is different in figure skates compared to hockey skates, as the balance is different. Figure skate blades are thicker, too, so they can be faster, as you have more blade contact to push off of. Hockey skates have no toe picks, as with toe picks, if you accidentally drag your foot or put it too far forward on the ice, you can fall. Also, hockey skates are balanced more neutrally, in the middle of the skate, which helps with recovering balance during the fast maneuvering and contact in the game. Hockey skates have thinner blades, so compared to figure skates, you're going to apply less power to the ice, but they glide a little bit easier than figure skates. Also, compared to figure skates, hockey skates have much tougher construction, as they have to be able to take pucks/sticks, etc.

Is a inline object an object that can be positioned at a specific location in a document or in a layer over or behind text in a document?

No. Block level elements can be positioned using CSS. Inline elements fall into the text line. That said, you can use CSS to declare an inline element be displayed as a block level element, or as an inline-block, which more or less splits the difference.

What is the best brand of roller skates?

Riedell is a great brand, I really like them. I bought some Riedell Wicked skates for roller derby and they rock. What type skates are you looking for? There are so many types: Speed skates, classic, derby, in line ect...If you are buying skates for hard use I would suggest leather boots and aluminum plates because they are a tried and true combo but can cost a bit more. If you are just going to roller skate casually then you can get by with man made boots and nylon or plastic plates (though they tend to wear out much faster) they cost less. Also your wheels will come into play, are you outdoor or indoor? Speed skates have lower profile wider wheels for taking sharper turns and grip. It just really depends on what type of skating you are going to do. You can search roller skates on google or any search engine and check some stores out, some stores have comment sections that help to get an idea if the skate is good or not. I hope that helps! Good luck and keep rollin'!
