well, not literally hurting but when you throw toys and they fall to your pets... im not sure if you are hurting them but im 100% sure that you will lost owner points.
then, there is one way i think you can hurt them (but please dont do hurt pets in real life.) Just tap silhouette of the pet on the bottom screen just like making a point and your pet will react negatively ex. bark.
