yes, there is a catch wire near the headlight you can catch with a hook and pull, you can also power the car temporarily by pulling out the red tagged jumper post in the fuse box at the drivers left foot.

Have a helper pull and hold the hood release lever, then use a pry bar to lift the hood enough to get your fingers in to unlatch the release at the front of the hood.
