Correct Answer: NO - You Should NOT Drink Alcohol while Taking Vyvanse
Alternative Answer: If you are taking Vyvanse and choose to drink - you need to be very careful. Even if you have never had a history of substance abuse - - you could potentially open a door to abuse that you wish you never opened. Some people will tell you that Vyvanse will make you feel like you don't need to drink very much - - however, everyone is different. After a few drinks, you may feel like you need a boost, and you may be tempted to take another pill - - DO NOT DO THIS!!! Taking multiple Vyvanse Pills has been a terrible experience and has nearly ruined my life. The more pills that you take, the more you can drink without crashing. During this time - you become completely detached from the real world, and it's possible that you could become violent, and lash out at your loved ones for no reason.
Seriously - - do not drink while taking Vyvanse....
Adderall and Vyvanse are psychostimulant prescription drugs used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity, Adderall is more commonly used than Vyvanse.
That is the exact dosage of adderall and vyvanse that I take per my doc and it is working well for me
Vyvanse
It would more than likely not work, since Vyvanse is closely related to Adderall. I am being treated by a Psychiatrist for Narcolepsy. I am prescribed 50mg of Vyvanse per day. While Vyvanse is still an amphetamine salt it is a completely different drug than Adderall.
Vyvanse is lisdexamfetamine, while Adderall is dextroamphetamine, aka (a-methylphenethylamine). Vyvanse is a pro-drug for dextroamphetamine, meaning it is only active after you eat it, so there is little to no abuse potential. Basically, Vyvanse is dextroamphetamine bonded with lysine (an essential amino acid). The euphoria experienced with 50mg Vyvanse orally, is comparable to 25mg Adderall orally. However Adderall is active through insufflation (snorting) so I would assume the euphoria would be better on Adderall.
I'm no doctor but it sounds like a bad idea to me.
Yes, you should be able to do this safely. The two medications are very similar (Vyvanse is bonded to an amino acid and Adderall XR isn't) they contain essentially the same medication.
No, Ritalin is a stimulant such as Adderall, Vyvanse.. etc.
sure why not its the same stuff just dont OD
Yes, mixing Adderall and Vyvanse can be extremely harmful to the body. Both medications are CNS stimulants, and have very serious side effects on their own. The combination can be dangerous. Do not attempt this unless your physician informed you to do so. Even if you had a prior prescription to Adderall and later have Vyvanse added, the physician should know about your prior prescription and inform you of how to switch over. It is always recommended you inform your physician if you take Adderall before being prescribed anything from them (unless of course they are your primary physician or caregiver, in which case they will already know)
yes, adderall rx and vyvanse have mainly the same components, so the drug test should not be able to show a difference between the two substances.
No. Vyvanse is a lisdexamfetamine dimesylate. Adderall XR is comprised of mixed salts of a single-entity amphetamine product (Dextroamphetamine saccharate, Amphetamine Aspartate, Dextroamphetamine Sulfate, and Amphetamine Sulfate).
