Can you take Adderall and nyquill?

Yes you can because it does not have the same ingredient that Tylenol cold does, which acts as a stimulant. I asked my primary care doctor and he said NyQuil PM. is OK while prescribed Adderall, but Tylenol cold PM. is not OK.

I have taken adderall at 7:00 Am and later on I took NyQuil at 9:30 PM and there were not any side effects and I fell asleep fine. But if you took both of these at the same time either the adderall could cancel out the NyQuil and the NyQuil would not work or the NyQuil could cancel out the adderall and the adderall would not work.

Nyquil contains alcohol. The mix of the two can increase the effects of alcohol significantly. In a worst case scenario, it can supress respiration to a dangerous level.

Nyquil also contains acetaminiphen (Tylenol) which by itself can be dangerous if not taken correctly. So taking Nyquil with Adderall is not really a good idea.

Basically, if you are sick and need something like Nyquil, you are probably trying to get some rest anyway, so don't take the Adderall when you are sick.

In all situations, check with your doctor first. A quick call to the office should do it.
