Dex-cool prestone
Any type of green coolant will do. Bear in mind that GM started using DEX COOL in 1996. DEX and green coolant will not mix with each other. Prestone is recommended. what is your problem??? 2 times I have said use prestone and you erase it, yet someone else says prestone and it stays???????????????
Dex Coolant I used Prestone Dex Cool Premixed longLife coolant that I got from canadian tire
because dex-cool has different heat dissipation property's then green ethylglycol coolant.. use of green prestone in a dex cool system can cause head gasket and overheat issues not to mention premature internal wear.
NO
dex-cool is made for Chevy vehicles but prestone has a universal coolant that works too.
Yes, you can if you have completely flushed any and all traces of any other type of anti-freeze..... I also add prestone's anti corrosion mix to 50/50 green when changing from dex-cool..
Drain it from the petcock on the bottom of the rad. Take off the cap to the resevior and radiator. Replace with Prestone green antifreeze 50/50 mix, not Dex-Cool. Follow burping procedure in manual.
probably dex-cool but there is antifreeze that will mix with anything they are doing away with dex-cool
You should not use dex cool read on the sight it had caused several engines to overheat an blow including mine
No you can't. Dex Cool antifreeze which is Orange. And regular antifreeze will not mix.
yes, but you need to get rid of all of the dex-cool first... needs flushed really really good then you can replace the cool with normall cool (green). Now there are some Universal Antifreeze that will mix with dex-cool. that coolant says on the bottle ANY COLOR, ANY MAKE, ANY MODEL....
