Self-medicating Valium and Adderall is probably a bad idea. However, there are many good reasons that a doctor may prescribe both medications. Bear in mind that Valium (Diazepam) can be used to treat (among other things):
Benzodiazapine class meds created a revolution in pharmacology, especiially due to the wide spectrum of possible uses, and significantly lowered M&M stats by replacing drugs like barbituates.
In this case, I wouldn't write this combination off as a bad idea without considering the entire picture.
Alternate Anwer:This isn't a bad idea at all. What the first person who answered is thinking is that they are two opposites, and would create a sort of speedball affect, but this is not true [First answer removed in this version]. Adderall does indeed speed up your mind and thoughts, making you focus much better, however if you suffer from anxiety, Adderall can make this much worse. The best solution for anxiety is a benzo, like Valium, even though I prefer Xanax, to counter act the anxiety. Benzo's do Not slow down your thoughts as much as they simply make your more relaxed. I am currently prescribed 30mg XR once a day, 10mg IR in the afternoon, and 1mg Kpins twice a day by my doctor and they work perfectly together and I Do indeed recommend it. Alternate Answer:I am prescribed 60mgs Adderall IR daily and was just recently prescribed 10mg of Valium by the same doctor. I PERSONALLY haven't experienced any bad side affects, and agree that it does help with anxiety, although I have taken other Benzo's that have worked better for anxiety. Clarification:I noted that self-medicating was a bad idea. Note that these two medications are not contraindicative. I stand by this. Both these medications require a prescription, and adminstration should be monitored by a doctor. Alternative AnswerI take 40mg of Adderal a day and have back muscle issues which I take Valium for. its helfpful and I havn't noticed any problems. I do really suggest though, that you talk with your doctors about what you specifically need to think about concerning this combo.no
Yes; there is no known interactions with Adderall XR and Omega 3.
yea
The symptoms of dry mouth will leave after stopping Adderall XR within a day or two. Adderall XR is something that does not stay in your system.
The highest dosage Adderall XR comes in is 30 mg.
Adderall XR lasts longer. The XR stands for extended release and lasts around 8-12 depending on the consumer, mg, & tolerance. Generic Adderall which is actually Adderall IR (Instant Release) only lasts for a few hours (about 4 depending on the mgs) because Adderall XR is made from 2 different "beads" which one type releases automatically n the other type releases in about 4 hours so in the end Adderall xr lasts about 8 - 12 hours. When you pay for the Adderall XR you are paying for the extended release feature. SO Adderall XR lasts longer than Adderall IR.
Yes because Adderall XR stands for Adderall Extended Release. XR lasts longer though because the tiny beads in the XR capsules have sort of like a plastic cover over them which makes them longer to dissolve in your stomach...Its almost like a capsules in a capsule. Hope this answered your question. -Shrimpo
rittalin or strattera
I take adderall 60 mg, 30 in the morn and 30 about 1pm and trazadone 100mg at night
150 mg of adderall
I don't know what adderall 15mg Rx is, but I presume you are referring to adderall 15 XR, and yes it is. The XR in medications generally means extended release.
Adderall and Wellbutrin typically work very well together. I myself took 150mg Wellbutrin XL and 90mg Adderall XR, it worked fine. It's more common to adjust the dose of Adderall, because the body does build up a tolerance.
