No .... do not mix the old style coolant and the new Dex types.
The new Dex coolant is the only thing to put in your truck. I have seen trucks with 100,000 miles on them and they still have a pristine cooling system.

originially Dexcool which is orange color. if its been replaced with glycol, its green.
it is not reccomended to mix orange coolant with green. it will harm cooling system. only use dex-cool or the correct brand. call dealership to see if universal coolant is ok!!

The correct coolant is DEXCOOL it has an orange color to it. If your coolant is green the coolant has been changed. It has been found out that DEXCOOL was bad for Aluminum heads and gaskets. Best to switch to the green coolant.
