It would seem that you have to take the car to the service/parts dept. at a VW dealership. There they can measure/size up the correct key and order one for you.
I know for sure that you CANNOT get the key via the car type or VIN #.
Your best bet is to go to the dealer.
Try E-bay. I got a brand new 2003 Ford Expedition manual there. A Volkswagen dealer can get you one.
