While it is impossible to over dose on marijuana, passing out or losing consciousness is actually fairly common. Whether the black out occurs from smoking too much, holding a hit in your lungs too long, or a strong strain of marijuana, many people have reported fainting from the drug. Low blood sugar and/or blood pressure while smoking can increase chances of fainting.

Personally I have fainted twice, both times when smoking from a bong (stronger hits) and holding them in for too long. Poor diet also contributed, as I had not eaten.

Passing out is scary and can indicate underlying health problems.

Absolutely not, check the surgeon general's report, no recorded deaths at any point in time. Pretty much you would just pass out before you were able to consume the amount necessary for an overdose.

No. In order to overdose on marijuana you would need to consume the equivalent of your body weight within 90 days. Nobody has enough money for that much marijuana, there's not enough time to consume that much within. 90 days, and even if it were possible, your lungs would collapse before you could overdose.
