Almost without exception, all modern UK televisions, DVD players, VCRs, etc., are multiple standard, and will certainly allow you to play NTSC . Most DVD players are Region Code free, or can be adapted. So Region 1 NTSC DVDs can be played without any problem.
You can, However consider: 1) You would have to rely on the built-in screen to view footage 2) You would need a 240>120 step down transformer to power the cam (or charge) 3) You will not be able to plug into a standard Television You are in luck if you can connect to a compution using Firewire. You can also connect to an LCD-TV if the TV and cam have HDMI connectivity. The screen is no different from a computer monitor and you would be bypassing the PAL TV decoder if it was direct HD playback.
You can play DVDs for your region
There are no regions for ps3 games..? You buy a ps3 game in America, it should work on a ps3 in Britain. When it comes to bluray movies though, they are region locked. This is false because while right about the regions there are other factors and the PS3 USA games have been designed for a different television system and will not work in the UK's PAL TV System This is also why the PS3s are different for the different areas and the model numbers help to tell them apart USA model numbers end in 01 which covers North America The first North American PS3 was released there Nov 17, 2006 and the model number was CECHA01 SDTV region is NTSC Blu-ray Region is A DVD Region is 1 NTSC PS2 Region is NTSC-U/C and the PS1 Region is NTSC-US 03 is U.K. / Ireland and the first PS3 was released there on Mar 23, 2007 with model number of CECHC03. SDTV Region is PAL, Blu-ray Region is B, DVD Region is 2, PAL PS2 Region is PAL, & PS1 Region is PAL.
PSP games are not region locked - and the PSP plays in NTSC format regardless - PAL and NTSC are TV display resolutions, when used in a PSP context it just refers to area of origin.
only if ur DVD player is codefree & supports PAL dvds. usually a DVD player sold in the us only accepts rc1 dvds.Australian dvds are RC4. and PAL. US dvds are NTSC. so if the us DVD player is a cool one it should play the DVD :) any PC can play it with the right software, i.e. the VLC media player (www.videolan.org). greetz
Probably not. I have been trying to figure out if there is a way to play NTSC J games on an NTSC US system (even though they're both NTSC format, it would still require getting around the country code check), and it seems like the answer is not without going to a lot of trouble--there's all sort of information out there about hacks, mod chips, and what not, but it seems like it's probably mostly misinformation, and sorting through it all seems to be more trouble than it's worth. I'm starting to think about just buying an import NTSC J system.
A PS2 can play DVDs from the region that it is from
Ireland is in Region 2 for DVDs, so Region 4 DVDs will not play in Ireland.
It can play netflix videos if you have a netflix account, buy not dvds
All PSPs are technically NTSC, even ones sold in PAL countries. However, PSP games are region free, so one from any region can play a game from any region.
it depends on where your console is from... if your british then just PAL if your American then just NTSC
The Sony PlayStation entertainment system lacks a DVD drive, so no, DVDs cannot be played, regardless of their region code. However, if you possess a PlayStation 2 or PlayStation 3 designed to NTSC U/C (United States/Canada) games, it will be capable of playing back Region 1 DVDs. These models typically have a model number ending in 1 (eg. SCPH-50001).
You can play DVDs for your region
LG's Spec on their web site says you can play PAL/NTSC DVD's but if the area code says region 2 then you are out of luck. I phoned LG their reply yes you can play region's 2 NTSC (Japan). I am taking this further.
well as a matter of fact region zero is always better than goin for ntsc or pal because you can play all the DVD titles which may either be ntsc or pal support.. regardin price i think your DVD player has an option to convert it into region zero. so ensure that when you buy a DVD player its made REGION FREE that is region zero..
