I suppose that would depend on the DVD drive manufacturer, whether they included that functionality. Typically the answer is "yes", but I haven't personally tested every DVD drive. Yes you can play CDs in a DVD drive.
it depends. are you using a DVD/ CD player? or are you using just a plain CD player? if ur using the CD player, it wont work because it doesn't have a screen. if your using a DVD/ CD player, it will work just fine.
A DVD will not play in a CD-only player -- even a CD-ROM drive that does not have DVD hardware built in. The stepper motors and lenses for a DVD-ROM drive are far more precise than a CD drive, and the CD drive cannot physically read the tiny information on the DVD surface.
No you can't play a DVD in a CD Drive as the Drive electronic circuit doesn't know how to read the DVD , whereas a DVD Drive has the required logic to read a DVD.
No. A regular CDROM drive cannot read DVD's.
Most typically yes, it must be a DVDRW drive ( a writable drive)
Yes, I have yet to see a dive that is NOT backwards compatible with CD roms.
Yes, CDs are compatible with DVD players. The DVD player will display a menu on your television that can be navigated using your DVD remote.
Cd's are played in a CD player and dvds are played in a DVD player.
no
Most CD players will eject a CD because it is not capable of reading the disc. Discs such ad CD RWs or even DVDs are note readable in a CD player.
Yes all PS2s can play DVDs so can the PS3, but they can not play all DVDs from any area or format. No DVD Player can do that. Playstation can not play a DVD because it has only a CD and is not DVD capable any more than a CD player can Play DVDs some playstation2 can play DVDs and some can not .it depends on the area
Typically no, because the computer has the software to know to play the audio from it. Some DVDs do have separate audio tracks installed, which can be picked up by the CD player.
You can play CDs from Europe in a US player and CDs from the US in a Europe player. It's DVDs that don't work due to region codes.
DVDs look just like CDs, maybe you are getting them mixed up, or putting them in upside down. Or possibly the CD player is broken.
Yes
Unlike DVDs, Bluray discs and most games, CDs are not region coded. CDs from any region will play in any player.
DVDs can be played on a Blu-Ray player
Yes; either directly via the CD/DVD drive or via a Mac compatible portable CD/DVD player.
well you cant put a computer CD in a DVD player, but you can put a DVD in a computer so yes and no. it depends on what you use them for.
