You Can Put a 1988 Transmission In a 1993 Mustang Body.
The manual transmission does not have a dipstick , there will be a fill plug somewhere on the transmission body
You can make it fit and someone told me a 94 3.8L engine will bolt up to a transmission out of a fox body Mustang. If you drop the 94 3.8L engine in it, you will need to buy new motor mounts just in case the other ones are rusted. Also, maybe the computer out of the 94 Mustang also.
Ford Mustang body kits for model years 1987 through 2009 are available at Stage3Motorsports.com. Another big seller of body kits for Mustang models, including '88, is AmericanMuscle.com/bodykits.
There is a fill plug on the body of the 5 speed manual transmission

There are absolutely no body parts that interchange with a 1991 mustang and 1991 cougar. The mustang is a fox body chassis and the cougar is on the mn12 chassis. The older cougars I believe pre 1988 were structurally similar to a mustang, by this i mean engine bays very similar and rear ends interchangeable. As far as the bodies they did not have interchangeable parts.
Follow the upper rad hose from the radiator to the engine and ther it is. When replacing it make sure the spring goes toward the engine. but that would be iff you had an 1993 cobra. buz that's the first year for the fox body version
between air filter & throttle body, it has a wire plug going to it ,only on 1988 @ newer
