the 351m/400 are the same engine the only difference is the crank and the pistons. as far as big block heads u can put 429/460 heads on it but u can put a decent set of 4v 351 Cleveland heads on it and a 4v intake with a 4 barrel carb on there then youll have a real torque monster
351 Windsor is a small block, 351 Cleveland, is a big block. The 351M, (modified) is a small block, with big block heads on it.
nope the 351 modified is a big block and a 302 is a small block
Windsor 351, is a small block. 351 Cleveland, is a big block. The 351M, stands for "modified" and is a windsor (small) block, with Cleveland (big block) heads.
I assume that's the 351 Windsor that has the thermostat mounted vertically in the end of the intake manifold ( The 351 modified and the Cleveland versions have the thermostat mounted horizontally into the engine block )
a modified engine has a big block bolt pattern for a big block transmission.a 300 has a small block pattern.unless there is some kind of adapter it will not fit.
351 modified has a 400 big block housing where the Clevelnd does not.
no, the 302's would most likely blow the 351, if its a big block
Not a direct fit, 351 C uses the small block bell housing, the 352 is a FE model engine, look for 360, 390, 428, 406, 427, 410, you can change to the small block or the 351-400 modified by changing the engine stands and exhaust systems and their mating transmittions
yes, gt40 heads should work on a 351 windsor. they should work on any small block ford from a 260 to the 351 windsor. Good luck!
Yes, the 1970s bolt patterns for the heads are different. They changed in the later part of the 80s.

no 351 windsor engine is small block. 460 is a big block
