In short using Vaseline in your vagina can lead to vaginal infections, and when using tampons it will increase your risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome.
If you need to use lubrication to help with tampon insertion then use water-soluble lubrication such as KY jelly, you can also use natural oils like coconut oil or olive oil.
