YES. You will actually get VERY high. I was on 80mg of OxyContin a day, and stopped for two days and went to a methadone clinic. I was started on 30mg the first day, and man I was high as a kite! And this massive Euphoric effect lasted for almost a straight week until it slowly faded. Methadone is not made to get you high and I would NOT recommend taking methadone unless you are actually prescribed to it. When you are taking methadone it actually takes five days for your body to get used to it and build up a tolerance, which is why people on methadone maintenance programs usually go up 5-10mg every few days. If you are already on methadone and have been for a while, I myself usually buy an extra bit once a week or so for a treat. If you are on 80-100mg of methadone a day, a higher level dose, then I would just get an extra 50-80mg and then you will get high off it.

Since you get drug tested when on methadone maintenance programs, methadone is really the only drug you can take to get high, because they can't tell if you took more then what you are prescribed. I have been on methadone for four years now and its nice to get a little treat once in a while. Don't do it every day though, because then your normal dose you are prescribed on won't be enough and you will go through withdrawal for several days. Definitely don't do it if you are new on methadone, wait until your dose goes up to at least between 50-100mg before you start taking more. Yes!!! Before I became opiate tolerant, I would illicitly purchase the dissolved form in juice, 80 mg. the equivant of 2 40 mg wafers and I would get VERY high, lasting up to 2 days, uncontrollable nodding, very hard to pee, but a very euphoric high. Eventually, as I developed a tolerance (and addiction) the effect would diminish over a period of 6 months or so.
