Yes you can but you will need to use a condom for 2 weeks of you'll not be protected against pregnancy.
Use a backup method of birth control for the first seven days of this pack.
You will lose protection if you start the new pack a day late (that is, if you go more than seven days without taking an active pill). If you do that, you must use a back up method for the first seven days of that new pack. A better way to move your start day a day later is to take the first placebo pill in the pack as scheduled, then start your new pack the next day. Doing so will not affect protection.
I have the same question ish.... If i stopped taking dianette pack (4 days ago) mid cycle to get period and to relieve stress when do i start taking new pack? After 7 pill free days? or today, to regulate cycle and start new pack for 21 days?
Yes, just don't skip any days.
If you had unprotected sex and you missed 3 or more pills from a new pack you may want to consider using the Plan B pill. If you have not had sex since missing pills from your new pack - start the new pack as soon as you realize you have missed any and use back up protection (condoms or Today Sponge etc) until you have taken 7 pills in 7 days. More information at the link.
You will not be protected against pregnancy and your period may arrive late. You need to use a condom for 2 weeks.
No, the second pack is effective immediately as long as you took the prior pills correctly.
Yes, you can often find a sticker in the new pill pack that lets you "relabel" the days to suit your new schedule. Just don't go more than seven days without taking an active pill.
the spotting lasts for how many pills you didnt take so in your case its 7 days
THere is no decrease in effectiveness if you start the next pack early.
Are you waiting until the new pack comes to begin? Do not pick up your half-empty old pack and start taking those pills! You can save them as spares in case you ever drop a pill down the sink, or keep it stashed in your purse in case you find yourself unexpectedly away from home and needing to take your pill on time. If there is no risk of pregnancy (ie you are NOT sexually active or have been using a different, back-up method of birth control in the interim) you can start a pack during the first five days of your next normal period. Be sure to abstain or use condoms during at least the first seven days of your new pack. If you had sex within the last five days without a condom, you can use emergency contraception and begin your new pack right away, with condoms for the next seven days. If you had unprotected sex within the five days prior to when you stopped in the middle of the last pack, be SURE to wait at least two weeks and see a negative pregnancy test and the start of a normal period BEFORE you begin your new pill cycle. Good luck!
No it doesn't matter but if your period lasts over 7 days see your Doctor.
