why would u wanna drop too a smaller engine?? i'd upgrade, what year and make do u have??
standard engines are d-series such as d16 or d15 engines. you can put in a b series if you want. look one website for a swap kit with everything you need. www.jspecautosports.com
yes any d15 or d16 bottom will fit.
No i tried bell housing is different.
yes as long as both motors are the same general type. any "D" series tranny will fit any other "D" series motor. ex: you can put a D16 tranny on a D15.
your best bet to get more power than a d15 is to engine swap. a b18, b16, or a k20 are the most readily available. youll probably end up spending less on a b18 swap than upgrading the cams on a d15
that would depend on weather it were a hf, dx, or si. the hf and the dx usually have a 1.5 liter d15 and the si usually has a 1.6 liter d16
Stock engine 127hp
yes they are the same transmission, does not matter if the engine is a d15 1.5 liter or a d16 1.6 liter
i personally have a 1997 Honda civic, see these go by generations, 92-95 is a 5th generation and 96-99/2000 is a 6th generation, 6th gens base models usually come with d16y7 or d16y8 motors in them, check you cars engine and if it is a d series engine, it should work, i think d16 and d15 series are alike. but if your going for performance, just do a gsr swap, most power for the money
Do you mean D15 and D16? but yes it will
7 psi is safe to boost on a stock d-series motor
