You can if you get the 4L80E computer and wiring harness and install it in the vehicle that you are taking the 4L60E out of.
Yes. Both years used the NV3500 (manual) or 4L60E (auto) for the S10 and 1500, and the NV4500 (manual) and 4L80E (auto) for the 2500 and 3500. Note that trying to swap out a 4L60E for a 4L80E is NOT a simple "plug and play" swap, in case you're getting that idea in your head.
Swapping out a 4L80E for a 4L60E is a bad idea... the 4L80E has a much higher horsepower and torque rating, and, if a vehicle came with the 4L80E, it probably needs it. Swapping out a 4L60E for a 4L80E could be done, but there's no real benefit unless, for example, you were swapping in a diesel or a big block.
The easiest way is the oil pan the 4l60e has 16 bolts and the 4l80e has 17 bolts
4L60E if it is a 1/2 ton. 3/4 ton will have a 4L80e in it.
YES they are the same transmissions as long as the 94 had the 4L80E in it too. 1/2 tons used the 4L60E in them and the 3/4 tons used the 4L80E
It can be a 4L60E or a 4L80E.
If you're swapping a 4L80E to replace a 4L60E, it's not a simple drop in swap. You're looking at a lot of repinning the ECM harness connectors, and that in and of itself is going to take more explanation than what can be feasibly done in the answer text here. There may also be some ECM reflashing required... that part, I'm not 100% certain about.. when I did the 4L80E swap into my 97 Blazer, I also swapped in a 350 which had already been flashed for the 4L80E. This isn't an uncommon swap, and the diagrams are readily available online, as are tips on various forums from those who've done this swap.
1/2 tons used the 4L60E and the 3/4 tons used the 4L80E transmissions.
1/2 tons used the 4L60E and the 3/4 tons used the 4L80E
It should. They both had the same manual and automatic options for those years - NV3500 (manual) and 4L60E (auto) for the S10, Blazer, Trailblazer, and 1500; NV4500 (manual) and 4L80E (automatic) for the 2500 and 3500. Note that swapping out a 4L80E in place of a 4L60E is NOT a simple "plug and play" swap.
If it's a 1/2 ton, it will be a 4L60E The 3/4 ton will be a 4L80E.
If it is a 1/2 ton / 1500 it will have a 4L60E transmission in it. If it is a 3/4 ton / 2500 it will be a 4L80E transmission in it.
