We have mixed small(ish) doses of Valium with benadryl in order to get a deeper sleep on long flights. Haven't had any problems. The benadryl seems to amplify the effect and actually cause sleepiness, while Valium on its own just has a relaxing (but not necessarily sleeping) effect. Just be careful not to take too much benadryl or you will be REALLY TIRED for a LONG TIME. And no, I don't mean death. : ) Just tired. *Doses have been 10-20 mg of Valium and a swig of children's liquid benadryl* And please note that WE ARE NOT DOCTORS so please CONSULT YOUR PHYSICIAN if you have any questions!!!!
