Adderall, which is a mixture of Levo and Dextro-amphetamine salts, acts primarily by increasing levels of dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin. Adderall doesincrease extracellular levels of serotonin in the brain, although the brain acts to maintain balance (homeostasis) and modifies chemical levels based on other factors. In closing, Prozac and Adderall (both XR and other racemic mixtures of Levo+Dextroamphetamine) should and historically have not had any notable interactions.
