No. BB guns, pellet guns, blank guns, or realistic replicas of a gun are not permitted as a"carry on" item, and cannot be taken through a security checkpoint. Different countries have different views and laws on BB guns. Some of them consider BB guns a firearm some don't. I suggest you check with the embassy of that country first. Or better yet don't take the BB gun. If you are going to fly check with the airlines first to find out how to declare the gun and how to pack it in your luggage. I used to train TSA agents in the US on luggage inspection and we regularly confiscated BB guns from passenger's.

The previous answer was given by an ill-educated user. If you hold a valid skirmisher's defense with a UK airsoft site, you are able to bring them into the UK. To bring them in you must declare them at customs, and make sure there are no magazines, batteries, gas or ammunition stored alongside the rifle. It must also be stored in a secure, non-descript case.

No, you can not take it into the passenger compartment. It must go into the luggage compartment and be declared at the ticket counter first. It can not be carried in the carry on luggage.
