Yes you can, both are narcotic so you want to be careful of how much you put into your system. The most danger, other than overdose of the narcotic is, you really need to monitor the amount of aceteminophen (Tylenol) you injest. You will notice that a pill, such as percocete often has 5 mg of narcotic and 500 mgs of aceteminophen. Of course that amount varries from pill to pill (brand to brand), or (script to script). Just be careful Tylenol can pickle your liver....Esp if you drink alcohol
However, there is NO advantage of mixing 2 narcotic drugs. You should take only one and take higher dose if you want a better pain control (this adjustment must be done with your doctor).
Hydrocodone is an extract of codeine, so they are the same. You just have to take more hydrocodone
Nope. vicodin contains hydrocodone wich is an extract of codeine
If you mean "codeine", then you can overdose if you take them together.....they are chemically similar, with Hydrocodone being a synthetic version and codeine being the naturally-occurring one.
No. Hydrocodone and Codeine are two separate drugs with different chemical makeups.
The opioid analgesic Hydrocodone is present in Vicodin and that Hydrocodone is related to Codeine.
if by hydroco you mean hydrocodone, then yes and no. Hydrocodone is a semi-synthetic opioid that is made FROM codeine. Hydrocodone does not metabolize into codeine frome what ive read. If you are allergic to codeine then you will probably be allergic to hydrocodone too. If youre trying to pass a UA then you should be ok as most urine tests that test for opiates only test for morphine and codeine; neither of which are metabolites of hydrocodone. If you're looking to treat pain, then keep in mind that hydrocodone is stronger than codeine.
NO propoxyphene is not stronger than hydrocodone ..trust me take my word for i have been givin propoxyphene and hydrocodone and i can tell a big difference in the hydrocodone..so if ur using propoxyphene to get high ur not gonna get higher from it as you would hydrocodone. end of discusion
Lortab is identical to Vicodin - it is a combination of hydrocodone and paracetomol (acetaminophen). If you are truly diagnosed allergic to Codeine (hydrocodone), you should not take it. Allergy to acetaminophen is extremely rare.
Yes, doctors and healthcare professionals often times prescribe Oxycodone (Percocet) to patients who are allergic to Codeine/Hydrocodone.
Nope! Codeine and hydrocodone are two different meds. The nausea and side affects make you throw up alot more with codeine, even though its the hydrocodone that is a stronger pain killer.
Yes; Norco is a brand name for the combination of the drugs acetaminophen and hydrocodone. Another common brand name is Vicodin. Hydrocodone is similar to codeine.
Probably not. Check with your doctor.
