Of course you can. You can take any pill with any pill. both those pills are benzodiazepines, the same class of drugs. Together they have a synergistic effect- meaning the result they produce together is greater than the result either one of them could have alone. They are central nervous system depressants. Take enough of them, your heart slows, you stop breathing.

If you are asking this question, you need to talk to your doctor. If you just want a "good high" this isn't it; you will get sleepy, you won't have a sex drive, and you may as well call it a night.

However taking any sort of Benzodiazapins ie: Valium, Klonopin, Ativan along with Dilaudid or other pain killers should definitely be disscussed with your doctor first. It's not a question of "Can they be taken?". But.. "How much?". Taking Benzo's along with pain killers or alcohol can further depress respirations and can possibly be lethal depending on the patient.
