Normal consumer electrical items, like laptop computers, cell phones, hair-dryer, toothbrush, etc are all acceptable in carry-on luggage.

Industrial and DIY tools, such as electric screwdrivers, drills etc are NOT allowed in carry-on luggage but can be checked in as hold luggage.
