yes you can. It actually supposedly has a synergistic effect and helps you get more out of an opiate. I researched this a while back when I was somewhat dependent on vicodin. Glad to say I am not anymore. I still have some hydroxyzine that I use for contact dermatitis, though. It was prescribed by my dermatologist. You can also buy it on line. It can make you drowsy like benedryl. Also it has been used as an anti anxiety like Xanax. I sometimes use it when I can't sleep. It is classified as an antihistamine.
