You can safely take 500 mg amoxicillin every four hours without any additional side effects or advantages.
I wouldn't recommend it. If your doctor has prescribed a 7-day course - you should complete it.
My son is allergic to amoxicillin, but he can take azithromycin (Zithromax) with no problem. The nice thing about azithromycin is you take a double dose the first day, then a regular dose for the next 4, so you're taking medicine for only 5 days instead of the usual 7-10.
500mg for 5-7 days.
Sorry - but this is not the place to ask that kind of question ! For a qualified answer - consult a doctor or chemist.
Give your cat 5 - 10 mg/lb once daily for 5 - 7 days then continue for 48 hrs after symptoms have subsided.
Amoxicillin - (2S,5R,6R)-6-{[(2R)-2-amino-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-acetyl]amino}-3,3-dimethyl-7-oxo-4-thia-1-azabicyclo[3.2.0]heptane-2-carboxylic acid - is a homogeneous compound. But pharmaceutical preparations can contain as additives some other substances.
No, you should not self medicate. You should only take medicines prescribed for you by a qualified physician. It takes a doctor 7 years to train to understand what is wrong with you and how to treat you for medical problems on an individual basis. What makes you thing it is safe for you to take medicines yourself? You can not know what is actually wrong with you or what is the correct treatment for you. Also, if you take antibiotics when not needed or incorrectly, you contribute to these medicines becoming ineffective (for everyone) as bacteria learn to tolerate them. Do not self medicate.
If the amoxicillin has been reconstituted (...if it's a liquid when you get it at the pharmacy...) then No, you must NOT give it to your baby. After 7-14 days, the antibiotic will not work....even if you have had it in the fridge the whole time. If the infection has come back, the baby needs to visit with the doctor again. Giving "old" antibiotics can cause resistance and in some cases can be toxic...chemical changes make the medication dangerous. Even the tablets of antibiotics can become toxic past the expiration date.
You should notice improvement in about three days if it's working. It should take the time you were prescribed for to get rid of it fully. Sometimes though the doctor's (or nurse's) judgment is off and you need a longer time slot of antibiotics to get rid of the infection.
they are far bacterial vagnosis i am pretty sure. bacterial vagnosis is not a disease it is an infection in the vagina that cause a fishy scent after sex pain during sex and white discharge. nothing harmful just a little uncomfortable definatly take them for the full 7 days so it goes away completely even if the symptoms go away.
