I am a pharmacist and have seen the two used together...Cymbalta is a SNRI and can sometimes cause insomnia (usually used once daily). Prescribers may add trazodone once nightly and it is helpful for this side effect caused by Cymbalta.
trazodone and ambien aren't generally recommended to take together. Trazodone causes drowsiness and is often used as a sleeping pill though it's really an anti-anxiety medication. If your perscribing doctor is aware of your medications he may have a reason for it but to be sure call him.
I would like to know myself. my 78 year old mother was on trazodone taking 100 mgs and still can't sleep. She is so exhausted and tired during the day and has no energy and is very weak. I called the doctor and he said he would prescribe ambien as well. Is that safe to take together. what are the side effects.
yES YOU CAN TAKE BOTH AS PRESCRIBED.
Yes, if both are prescribed for you, there is no problem in taking those 2 drugs together. To get the "sleeping" effect of trazodone, without interfering with prozac antidepressant effect, the trazodone dosage should be around 25mg to 100mg.
Ambien will help you sleep.
Since trazodone causes drowsiness, it is often used as a sleep aid making the best time to take trazodone before bed. Trazodone is best absorbed when taken with food.
Ambien
Ambien is for sleep, Aricept is for early Alzheimer's. Their are no drug interactions in taking the two together.
Yes you can. Healthy trim is a diet medication. Ambien is a prescription sleep aid. They are find to take together as long as you follow the prescription on the Ambien bottle.
Trazodone doesn't get you high. In my experience, i have taken 50 mg's of trazodone without eating and i didn't notice anything great. I took another 50 mg's a different day after eating and it put me right to sleep. Trazodone is an ssri that is also used off label as a sleep aid. Your out of luck my friend.
Ambien is a rapid-acting sleep medication. When multiple pills or taken (or you chew the medication) it can cause drowsiness and, in some cases, hallucinations. Taking Ambien recreationally is very, VERY dangerous. Only take the dose that was prescribed to you.
Sometimes I need to take 10 mg of ambien to help me get to sleep from the hectic day I usually have.
Yes, if they are indicated, and provided the person taking them have no known allergies to either drug. Ambien is for sleep and Toradol is an NSAID.
You need a prescription for both clonozepam and fluoxetine. Provide the scripts to the officer and there should be no problem.
I have been on trazodone for about 5 years for insomnia. I can tell you that at least for me that smoking pot along with it causes me to be very very relaxed. If i just smoke pot or just take the trazodone alone --I can't sleep. as far as long term effects or any of that -- i don't know.
