you have to make sure the transmission housing bolts match up to the engine's transmission bolt holes. Over all, engines are pretty strait forward. Also you would have to change wiring, some control modules and some mechanical parts. It shouldnt be that hard though
a turbocharger works on the engine only, it does not matter if the gearbox is manual or automatic
yes you can all you need to do is switch the automatic flywheel and putt on a standard flywheel and make sure the clutch from the transmission will bolt up to the flywheel.
can be automatic or manual it all depends on how you use the car
Yes. It is plug and play. You can use manual and automatic clusters in a manual, but you have to use automatic clusters in an automatic car.
Manual control means that it is controlled by humans, and automatic is it will work on its own. An example is a car's transmission. With manual transmission, you have to tell the car what gear to use. With automatic transmission, the car figures out what gear to use on its own by monitering factors such as RPM.
You can use either both have their pros and cons
If the car has fuel injection you cannot use a choke. however if the car has a carburetor without a automatic choke that is when add a manual choke cable to the carburetor choke flap. When you pull the choke flap closed it limits the air flow to the engine allowing for the engine to warm up so so it can atomize the fuel for the engine to run more efficiently. This is important in cold weather you almost always have to use a choke to start the engine.
Most cars this is not a problem, the engines are identical.
VTEC is an acronym Honda use for Variable Cam Timing, and relates to the ability to alter cam timing through the rev range of an engine. It has nothing to do with transmission type, and can be used with any trans, manual, or any of the auto configurations.
For most engines there is no need to change the crankshaft to use an engine for an automatic or a manual transmission. For an automatic, connect a flex-plate to the crankshaft. For a manual transmission connect a flywheel.
The same on a car equipped with manual transmission. On an automatic equipped car it will use less idling.
Every car sold in the US has an option of buying an automatic or a manual transmission.
