You could technically, but a softball would not fit in a Baseball glove. The slit in a baseball glove is a lot smaller than the opening in a softball catcher's mitt. It would be very hard to actually catch the ball with a baseball catcher's mitt

A baseball outfielder glove is usually 12 1/2 to 12 3/4 inches from the tip of the index finger to the heel of the glove. A softball outfielder glove is usually 13 1/2 to 14 inches from the tip of the index finger to the heel of the glove. Since a softball is larger than a baseball, a softball glove will be larger than a baseball glove. However, this doesn't mean that you can't use a baseball glove for playing softball. It just means that you will have less margin of error when catching the softball because of the smaller pocket a baseball glove has.

you can but it doesn't work very well. A softball is substantially bigger than a baseball

for catchers, the use knee pads, a chest protector. a helmet and a catchers mitt other players wear a hat and have a glove

That you have to use a bat and glove to be able to play.

with a baseball glove and to throw it use your bare hand

No, same goes for catchers gloves, only a first baseman can use a trapper and only a catcher can use a catchers glove

no, mitts are only allow on the field at first base and catchers positions.

no, they can not, but some umpires will not notice.

a bat, a glove and a helment. that is it.

He needs to use a glove, but it does not have to be a special catcher's mitt.

Yes, they use a catchers mit, its wider with more room.

You can either buy glove conditioner or use something like shaving creme. Lather the glove with the oil and then place a softball in the pocket of the glove and use a rubber band to hold the ball in place. Then you can do pretty much anything to work in the glove like sticking it under the leg of a sofa or use the glove as a base during sliding practice.

The use of a softball glove is so it does not hurt your hand when someone throws it and it is also used for an aim so you do not have to aim with your hand. ( That would look silly.)

The word mitt is a large glove. To use it in a sentence you could say "Joey just got a new catchers' mitt", or "Mom is using an oven mitt".The word mitt is a large glove. It depends on the age. Younger girls use a 10 inch glove, older girls use at least a 12 inch glove.

He uses a Rawlings Heart of the Hide Pros41cm-B

Because of the size of the field that baseball is played on, the use of a softball would be irrational.

No. Catchers use mitts (no defined fingers) not gloves. Although, there are similarities there is a difference in padding, mainly on pinky and figer side of mitt. fastpitch catchers mitts tend to have thicker padding.

Main- Gloves, bats, helmets, batting gloves, and baseballs. For A Catcher- Catchers glove, Catchers mask, chest protector, shin pads (also cover the knee) and when you get older sometimes you use a special catching glove that has extra padding so when the pitchers start to throw harder it doesn't sting as bad.

The only position that a distracting item can be removed by the umpire, is the pitcher. You could have a lime green glove as a catcher!!!

In baseball, the ball is smaller and harder. You use a smaller sized bat than you do in softball. In softball, the ball is softer and bigger. The bat you use is bigger than the type of bat you use in baseball.

About a 12in glove will do fine, i use a 14" but i feel it is too big. you have to be able to get the ball out quick, and you dont want the glove so big that you cant close it completly.

yes there is a difference because a major league baseball bat is wood and a girls are metal. also i minor leagues girls say softball and boys say baseball. once my friend was using a baseball bat and was hitting better. in softball you can not use a baseball bat! ---- never use a baseball bat in softball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least nine players per team, six infielders and three outfielders, an unpire (referee), three white bases, home plate, a bat, a softball, cleats for your feet, a leather glove, a batting helmet, batting gloves (optional), knee pads (for sliding), catchers gear (shin guards, chest protector, helmet)
