Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. When it does work, not all services will work, ie. mms, sms, dc/cg. When it doesn't work, you'll put your Boost sim back in your Boost phone and half of the time you'll be locked out of it. Trust me. When it happens, I'm the one you'll be calling for help when you dial 611 and I'll have to transfer you to Equipment Research to fix your phone. It's not fun.
Here's a tip. When you put your Boost sim back in a Boost phone, it might say "Please Wait to Enter Special Code". This happens sometimes when your Boost chip has been in a Nextel phone. Wait for it to say "Enter Special Code Now". This can take up to 45 minutes. When it says to enter code now, turn your phone off for at least an hour, then turn it back on. It should be back to normal. If not, call Boost Customer Care and ask for Equipment Research.....

I have a boost mobile phone the Motorola i335 I have switched the sim card into multiple other nextel devices and it works minus the exceptions stated above there. I can still receive text messages though I cant respond to them with the nextel phone. I did not encounter any problems putting my sim back into the boost phone. I think it makes a difference if you have an unlimited boost account or if you are using the paygo option??? Im not sure about that but I use the unlimited plan
No, it will give an error message asking for the unlock code. Once you get that error, you screwed up the sim and it will not work in either phone again. Nextel does not have the unlock code, Motorola made the phones that way. Motorola will not provide the code either.

A Boost Mobile SIM will not work on an ATT phone, even if the phone is unlocked. The technology that Boost Mobile operates on is not compatible with the technology that ATT uses.
No. Sprint phones do not have sim cards, Unless you it is the Hybrid phone. In that case you will not be able to use a sim card from a normal nextel phone in the hybrid phone either.
No, they are programmed differently. The nextel network will not recongnize the sim.
i just want to know what store in davenport ia that i can go to to purchase this sim card
say what
Boost mobile sim cards will only work with boost mobile on the nextel network nextel is a iden network standalone that will not roam on gsm networks because nextel is a iden network
I'd recommend you call Boost Mobile customer service on this one. When I tried doing it in 2010, you could not transfer a Boost Mobile phone number to another carrier (and, just like you, I tried transferring it to Verizon) - you couldn't even transfer a Boost Mobile number to Nextel (Boost Mobile basically was a prepaid Nextel). Things might have changed, now that Nextel has been eliminated and fully folded into Sprint, although I'm doubtful.

no. My nan did this and as a result of the fluoronic ions her arms and ears began to rot and eventually fell off
there is no special code they just put that there so that u call in and they will tell u that the sim card is not compatible with the phone.
easy, all you have to do is put the sim card in the phone, and it should start working, if it doesn't then go to your boost dealer and tell them your problem
I want to make sure I answer this question, after talking to tmobile, because there is sites that want to charge 40 bucks for unlocking your phone and I called T-Mobile asking if they would unlock the T-Mobile phone for use with boost Mobile and they said no problem. It takes about 24 hours and they email you the unlock code with instructions on how to do it. I guess it would be worth the money if you still had a contact or something but other then that... It's free!
I believe you can add or change a device on the Boost Mobile website.
I have a lg sprint phone and my boy friend has a boost mobile bt it dose nt work can he use his sd card frm the boost mobile to put it in the sprint phn

If the phone is unlocked you can use a chip from any service provider. The chip must be the same brand as the people you pay your phone bill to. Like if you have t-mobile then you need a t-mobile sim card, but you can use an unlocked cricket phone.
No, you can buy a Boost mobile card without knowing the phone number or even having a phone. At any time subsequent to the purchase, you can use the card to add credits to your account. This can be done over the phone or on the Boostmobile website.
