Is it possible to cross the border without a passport?
You could cross illegally, but getting back across is another matter. If you are caught you will be arrested and have to prove who you are. Depending on which side of a border you are on it could be a real problem. Once in a foreign country you are under that countries laws and will have to face the consequences according to their laws. Personally, I don't think it is worth the problems involved. Answer 2 In some cases it is possible, depending on your nationality and the border involved. Some groups of countries allow their citizens to cross their borders with a national identity card. For example citizens of the EU countries can visit any other EU country with a national identity card.

Do you need to get green card after marriage?
Its important to be in legal status while in US. Individuals who obtain a Green Card through marriage to a U.S. Citizen are granted "Conditional" Green Card status, which is only valid for two years. Individuals who have been granted Conditional Green Card Status are required to apply to remove the Conditions on their Green Card within 90 days of the date that their Conditional Permanent Resident status expires. After conditions are removed the applicant is issued a green card valid for 10 years.
If you are a US citizen in Mexico but you don't have a passport you just have your Arizona ID card SS card and a photocopy of your birth certificate will you be able to cross the border?
To return to the US via a land border crossing, US citizens must have either a Passport or a Passport Card (a secure card looking similar to a credit card but issued by the Federal Government, and by a few states along with their drivers' licenses). If you do not have either of these you will not be able to enter the US and should visit a US Consulate in Mexico for help in obtaining the required documentation.

How long after you get your citizenship can your spouse apply for green card?
If after getting your citizenship the wedding took place your spouse could enter US on a visa and get the temporary conditional status. This status would expire in two years. 90 days before the status expires you need to apply for permanent resident status or green card by filing Form 751 to remove conditions on residence. If after wedding you became a US citizen then you can immediately petition for your spouse's green card by filing Form I-130. If spouse is outside US you can do through consular processing for green card. If spouse is already legally staying in US once the visa number becomes available for green card you can file Form I-485 to adjust status to permanent resident status or green card holder status.
