Dr. Bronners is an awesome substitute for dread shampoo and it has hemp which is good. It is residue free and is highly concentrated so it lasts forever. You could also just use any shampoo that is residue free, but ALWAYS stay away from conditioner.
better then any soap or shampoo is baking soda
mix 1/3 cup with a gallon of water pour over your head (no scrubbing needed) allow to soak 10 minutes or more..up to 30
rinse will
never use wax period
wax never comes out of dreads
use pure aloe gel instead, or nothing.
dread wax slows dread progress
it makes almost all waxy dreads get cut in under 5 years
waxy dreads tend to mold as wax traps water and dirt
aloe vera rinses right out so wont build up like wax
you do not want to use wax..everthe best dread products are homemade
nothing!!!!!!!!!!! dread wax is a massive scam and the number one cause of dreads being cut after 3-4 years you can use 100% pure aloe vera gel for anything youd use wax for but there is absolutely no reason to ever use wax it slows the dread process every argument supporting wax is a total lie and none make sense dreads require non residue soap to dread wax is pure residue that never comes out it traps dirt and water and causes mold never use wax once you do you might never be able to get it out even one use is too much http://dreadlockforums.ning.com/ for all the truth of dreadlocks
yes, you can, and its also very healthy and helps keep them together
I know she is a fan of UNITE Eurotheraphy's 7 Second Dry shampoo and their Tricky Spray finishing wax!
Making Dreadlocks Backcombing You will need: Dread Wax Residue Free Shampoo Metal Comb Rubberbands I recommend the DreadHead Supa Dupa Dread Kit:It has everything you need and they guarantee your hair will dread. 1. Wash your hair with a residue free shampoo and let it air dry. 2. Section your hair into sections that are 1 inch by 1 inch. You can use rubberbands to hold the sections while you section the rest of your hair. 3. Start in the back of your head, remove the rubberbands and start teasing the hair towards your scalp. Only backcomb about a half inch of hair at a time, this will keep your dreads from forming loops. 4. Once you have finished backcombing the that section of hair, put a rubberband on the tip and one on the root. Add about an M&M's worth of wax to the dreadlock and palm roll it. 5. Do this to all the sections of hair.
Use olive oil. Just make sure you shampoo of the excess really well.
The first shampoo was most likely home made from animal fat, wax and yucca plants.
no its sticky and wont wash out, may tear them up and it WILL stink
Dish soap-but don't use it for show cars it can take some wax off
I've had this problem for years until I recently found out about Mossimo hair wax and Mossimo hair paste, they both work exactly like all other hair wax products, except that they wash out with water. It says on them as well that there water soluble, the paste is a bit stronger then there wax and that's what I use now but trust me there is nothing that can wash out most types of hair wax so making the switch to Mossimo is the best thing you can do. Dax wax is extrememly hard to get out of hair. I find that if you just put the shampoo onto dry hair and massage it in for about five minutes, rinse and massage shampoo into your wet hair for another five minutes (a really firm massage) that it comes out great. Dax Shampoo usually does the trick. Or vegetable oil mixed with shampoo.
No there isnt
Both. Wax in shampoo is good in the sense that it protects your hair from damage caused by heat, however, it's bad in the sense that it leaves residue and causes a lack of oil in the hair.
