Only if the engine was designed to run on diesel.
If the van has a diesel engine, then you MUST use diesel fuel. Unleaded gasoline will destroy a diesel engine. Diesel fuel is also used as a lubricant in a diesel engine. The use of any other fuel except diesel will result in serious damage. If you have put unleaded in your diesel, do not start or drive this vehicle until you drain the tank and change all the fuel filters. If the van has a diesel engine, then you MUST use diesel fuel. Petrol in a diesel engine will destroy the engine.
Diesel
No. A petrol or gasoline engine will not run on diesel fuel.
Do NOT use Diesel fuel in a Ford Focus. The engine will stop running and you will have to drain the gas tank to rid the car of the diesel fuel. Gasoline engines are not designed to run on diesel. They do not have enough compression to cause the diesel fuel to combust The only engine used in a 2000 Ford Focus was the 2.0 which is NOT a diesel engine.
Flex fuel does not mean you can use diesel. It means the engine can run on pure gasoline or on E85 gasoline. If you put diesel in this vehicle it simply will not run. Diesel can only be used in a diesel engine.
no
87 octane regular if it is a gasoline engine. Diesel fuel if it has a diesel engine.
If the engine is a diesel use diesel fuel. If the engine is a gasoline engine use unleaded gasoline.
NO!2-cycle fuel has the oil added to it. In a 4-cycle engine, the oil is separate. If you use 2 cycle fuel in a 4 cycle engine it would be like dumping 10w-30 oil into the fuel tank of your car along with the gasoline - NOT A GOOD IDEA!NO, NO, NO!!!!!!!!! Use only 4 cycle oil in a 4 cycle and 2 cycle mixed with the fuel in a 2 cycle. Why would you even consider doing this?
It can and probably will
Diesel engines do not require "ignition" to burn diesel fuel--it is powered by the "heat of compression" therefore diesel fuel has a much higher "flash point" than gasoline. If you were to put gasoline in a diesel engine you would probably blow the heads off the engine. Due to lower "flash point" (temperature when fuel ignites). If you were to put diesel fuel in a gasoline powered engine, it would not ignite and engine will not start. Due to higher "flash point).
