No. Well, you could if you wanted to, but it's bad for your cat. They can't have anything on their fur that they can't lick off when they bathe themselves. You should use cat dandruff shampoo instead.
Yes, it won't hurt your dog as pet shampoos are usually harsher on animal skin than human shampoo is. Though, it's an expensive way to wash your dog.
I wouldn't. It's not formulated for a dog's fur or skin, and also, dogs tend to lick themselves, meaning a dog shampoo has to be made with this in mind.
Why in the world would you bathe it in oatmeal? Just get dandruff shampoo for dogs and it'll go like that!
Yes you can but be careful with the type you use.
Yes, flea eggs look identical to dandruff of a dog, in fact without a microscope look identical to human dandruff, and even be present on human scalps.
Unless the dog has fleas and you need a shampoo that'll kill them, human shampoo should work just fine on your dog.
There is no bad effect using human shampoo. In fact, using baby human shampoo is good for dogs to maintain a silky and smooth skin. But note that dog shampoo has more chemicals in it that is specifically for the dog's fur. That is why it's still better to use a dog shampoo for dogs.
You can bathe them in dog flea shampoo or dust their undersides with Sevin (the kind you use in the garden).
If your dog has dandruff, you might try Selson Blue, but it would probably be healthier or safer for the animal if you used a DOG shampoo specifically for that purpose.
No, a dog shampoo is much gentler. If you would like to use human shampoo, a baby shampoo would be best in case it gets in the eyes. Also, human shampoo tends to have a higher pH level and is too strong for the dog, causing move harm than good. If you do decide to use human shampoo, be sure to rinse very thoroughly so that no residue is left that can cause irritation.
Bathe them. Use a dog shampoo and keep them clean. Ask your vet also incase the dog has a fugi infection.
You can try oatmeal dog shampoo, but if he has an allergy, it won't work for long. He needs a trip to the vet.
Yes, They are allergenic. All dogs give off an allergic reaction to different types of people. A way that may possibly allergy proof your dog, especially for terriers, would be to shave it, or bathe it regularly. There is a special type of shampoo you can buy that will prevent dandruff if that's what you or your dog- buyer is allergic to. ~ :D
Buy a specialised DOG SHAMPOO from a supermarket. DO NOT use human shampoo-- the P/H balance isn't right for their coat. Place your dog in a tub or wherever you wish to bathe him/her. Use lukewarm water to cover their coat, then use some shampoo (Not too much!!) and lather it all over their body. Be sure to thoroughly rinse, otherwise it could irritate the dog's skin. Once all clean, you might want to give a treat to encourage them to want to bathe in the future. When your dogs coat is dry, give him/her a good brush!! :-)
