No you cannot make any adjustments to your equipment whilst in play and using sandpaper will alter the grip of the club

You can use any grips. However if you want a particular brand used with the club when you bought it, either look round the internet or contact the manufacturer.
1923 - 1966 had round knobs as standard stocks 1967 and up had flat pistol grips auto5man my browning a-5 made in 1988 in liege belgium has the roung knob stock, and i know it has never been changed. I ask the question " did browning offer both round knobs and pistol grips from 1067 on?"

I gripped the ring using a pair of mole grips and then used a hammer to hit the grips - this turns the round disc anti clockwise (for drivers door) and release the tension allowing you to remove the disc and lock. I replaced the disc with a horseshoe style ford retaining clip as this is much easier to fit.
