∙ 11y agoYes. You have to get a texting app and have wi-fi though. You can text two ways via the iPad. You can text via iMessage which is a wifi only text service provided free of charge by apple inc or you can download an app and text via the mobile network if you have purchased the mobile version of the iPad.

I think this app is just like mobilevoip. I don't really think it can work really like a phone. I mean it may not allow you to make calls from your SIM card. Or is there anybody who has made calls with their carrier provider SIM services right from the ipad using the iCall app?
