changed camshaft and crankshaft sensors in 2005 Toyota tacoma 6 clyinder and now it wont start any idea what to try next
it basically tells the computer that the camshaft is turning same as crankshaft sensor. if the sensor does not work the vehicle will not start.
It could be a bad crankshaft sensor or a bad camshaft sensor.
there are many different things that it could be check the camshaft positioning sensor, the throttle positioning sensor, and the crankshaft positioning sensor.
Yes. Cam sensor will determine the rotation of the camshaft, and if it does not sense it 'turning' the sensor will not allow the engine to start (it protects damaging the engine). Faulty camshaft or crankshaft sensors will stall engine and prevent restart until replaced.
Have you checked for a computer code? That vehicle should have either a crankshaft position sensor or a camshaft position sensor. Make sure it is working properly.
Several things can cause no spark. A bad coil pack, bad crankshaft sensor and camshaft sensor are good places to start.
A bad crankshaft sensor will cause a vehicle not to start. The sensor sends a pulse to the system so that the spark plugs fire at the precise moment. If the sensor is intermittent then sometimes the vehicle wont start for no apparent reason, or may turn off while driving. Not sure if the question is about camshaft sensors or crankshaft sensors. Some vehicles will run with the camshaft sensor faulty or unplugged. But it would illuminate the "Check Engine" light.
If the crankshaft sensor is dead the engine will not start
A bad crankshaft sensor on a 2.3 Ford may cause the car to not start. A bad crankshaft sensor can crank, just not start.
P1362 code indicates a faulty top dead center sensor. It could be the sensor or a distributor problem. There is also the off chance that it is related to the timing belt.
they did not start the crankshaft sensor till 1992
