Remove the rubber cover and plug lead from spark plug. Using a bike plug spanner [cheap at your favourite auto supermart] remove plug.
Some had Fuel Injection with an electric pump and some had a carburetor with a manual pump. If it is FI it has an electric pump.
I would recommend using using a mixture of warm water and washing up liquid. Use a tough scowering pad on the end of a stick until all the excess is removed, then rinse in cold water.
