the average density is the total amount of matter in the universe, whereas the critical density is about 10 to the -26th power kg/m cubed (to the third power), the dividing point between a closed or open universe.... :)

How do you compare and contrast the layers of the earth in terms of their density location temperature and composition?

You need to answer this question question because we don’t do homework and your teacher is looking for your critical thinking skills and how well you understood the lesson. I suggest you make a Venn diagram to help with this assignment.

How do Jovian and terrestrial planets compare?

Jovian planets are more massive and lower in average density. Terrestrial planets are smaller and higher in average density.

What is the minimal information you need to decide will float in the water?

Average density of the object compare to density of water. If denser than water, it will sink.

How can you determine that a coin is not pure silver if you know the mass and the volume of the coin?

The idea is to divice the mass by the volume, to get the density. Then compare to the density of silver. The idea is to divice the mass by the volume, to get the density. What does it mean to compare the density of an object to that of it in pieces?

It means: * Calculate the density of an object * Calculate the density of its pieces * Compare

What is critical density?

The term critical density refers to the value in which the Universe is at balance. This also refers to the stopping of expansion.

What is the average density of cfrp?

Density depends on laminant, which is why there is no average density for CFRP

The density of a gas is maximum at?

It's Critical Point?

How does density and upthrust compare in size?

Upthrust cancels weight out, weight is there but you do not feel it.

Which has greater density-1kg of platinum or 3kg of gold?

When you compare density, you compare the weight of the materials with equal volume. So you cannot compare the density only by weight. The right answer for this is, Platinum has the density of 19.8 gr/cubic centimeters at room temperature versus Golds 19.3 gr/cm3.

What does it mean when you say that the universe is below the critical density?

If the universe is ever to stop expanding and start contracting there has to be a certain amount of material (mass). This amount is called the 'critical density'. So far as is known to date the universe does not have sufficient mass to stop expanding, hence it is below the critical density.

Why critical angle for water is greater than the critical angle of glass?

Because of the difference in the density of the materials.
