like respiration, fermentation begins in the cytoplasm. Again, as the glucose molecules are broken down, energy is released. But the simple molecules from the break down of glu-

cose do not move into the mitochondria!!!

Anaerobic respiration and fermentation are biochemical reactions breaking down the hexose sugars in to ethyl alcohol and CO2 in the absence of oxygen. Thus the first step in both processes is similar. The only difference is that fermentation takes place outside the living cell whereas respiration takes place inside the living cell. In both the processes enzyme zymase is required.

respiration is sucking fermentation's N and F

Cellular respiration and fermentation have same biochemical reaction to begin with in the process of Glycolysis. However, Respiration takes place inside the cell whereas fermentation occurs outside the cell.

Fermentation!!!!!

What are two ways a cell can get energy from food?

Cells can release energy in two basic processes: Cellular respiration and fermentation. Cellular respiration requires oxygen but fermentation does not. Cellular respiration releases MUCH more usable energy then fermentation does.

How Cellular respiration and fermentation different?

for cellular respiration a process of oxidation takes place at some stage (aerobic) while in fermentation it is in abscence of oxygen(anaerobic)

What is a cellular respiration and not a fermentation?

Cellular respiration produces water but fermentation does not.Respiration: glucose + oxygen --> carbon dioxide + water Fermentation: glucose --> alcohol + carbon dioxide

How is cellular respiration and fermentation different?

Respiration uses oxygen, while fermentation does not use oxygen.
