The Central nervous system includes the brain and spinal cord. The brain is the control center for all activities in the body.It is made of billions of neurons. The spinal cord is made up of bundles of neurons.Sensory neurons send impulse to the brain.
All the nerves outside CNS ( Central Nervous System) that connects the brain and spinal cord to other body parts are part of the Peripheral nervous system. The Peripheral nervous system includes 12 pairs of nerves from your brain called cranial nerves, and 31 pairs of nerves from your spinal cord called Spinal nerves.
There are many differences between the central and peripheral nervous systems, ranging from cell types and signaling molecules to regenerative capacity. Some specific differences are:
* Myelination in the CNS is accomplished by oligodendrocytes, while in the PNS myelination is the job of Schwann cells * The major inhibitory neurotransmitter in the CNS is gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), while in the PNS it is glycine * The CNS is generally incapable of regeneration, while the PNS has some regenerative capacity
The central nervous system is made of the brain and spinal cord. Together, they maintain life-sustaining functions of the body along with controlling thoughts and emotions. The brain is analogous to the CEO of a company. It makes sense of the information coming in from the outside by use of the senses. The spinal cord is responsible for transmitting messages from the body to the brain. It is responsible for our reflexes, such as pulling our hand away from a hot stove. Mainly, the central nervous system controls thoughts, emotions, reflexes, and voluntary movements.
On the other hand, the peripheral nervous system (PNS) is composed of the sensory and motor sectors. It contains the rest of the nerves that are not part of the central nervous system. The PNS bridges the communication between the senses and the central nervous system. The PNS is divided into the somatic nervous system and the autonomic nervous system. The somatic nervous system is composed of all the nerves that carry messages from the senses to the central nervous system and from the central nervous system to the muscles. The autonomic nervous system is divided into the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems. The sympathetic division is responsible for body arousal during stressful events. Increased heart rate and dilated pupils are prim examples. An example of this is escaping a fire. The parasympathetic sector brings the body back to normal functioning. It is responsible for maintaining normal breathing, steady heart rate, and regular digestion.
Central nervous system is composed of the brain and the spinal cord, and stores neurotransmitters. The periferal nervous system is all other sensors on your body.
CNS is brain and spinal cord. PNS are the sensory and motor neurons. The PNS breaks down further into the autonomic and the sensory-somatic nervous system. The autonomic breaks down further into the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous
The central nervous system is found in the brain and spinal cord. The peripheral nervous system is everything else. There are different neurotransmitters (chemical messengers) in each. There are also different cell types that perform specific functions in each (ie. Schwann cells in the PNS and Oligodendrocytes in the CNS).
Describe how the central nervous system differs from the peripheral nervous system.
pen is
The central nervous system is composed of the brain and the spinal cord. The peripheral nervous system is composed of the autonomic nervous system and the somatic nervous system.
what is peripheral nervous system
the peripheral nervous system
The peripheral nervous system carries impulses between the spinal cord and other body parts.
The central nervous system includes the brain and spinal cord, and the peripheral nervous system is the rest.

How does the repair of nerve fibers differ in the peripheral nervous system and the central nervous system? How does the repair of nerve fibers differ in the peripheral nervous system and the central nervous system? How does the repair of nerve fibers differ in the peripheral nervous system and the central nervous system? How does the repair of nerve fibers differ in the peripheral nervous system and the central nervous system? We can help our nervous systems by improving our reflexes
There are only two nervous systems, Central and Peripheral. So Peripheral is your answer
The peripheral nervous system is made up of all the nerves outside the central nervous system.
