Modern humans, Homo sapiens, emerged around 300,000 years ago in Africa. They displayed advanced tool making, language, and social behavior, contributing to their success in spreading across the globe. The first humans, Homo habilis and Homo erectus, appeared earlier and eventually became extinct, while Homo sapiens evolved into the dominant species on Earth.
They are the same. Cro-Magnon were early modern humans.
Homo habilis is an extinct early hominin species that lived about 2.4-1.4 million years ago. They had a smaller brain size and used simple stone tools. In contrast, Homo sapiens sapiens (modern humans) have a larger brain size and more complex cognitive abilities. They emerged around 300,000 years ago and have a significantly more advanced culture, including language, art, and technology.
The first humans are believed to be part of the species Homo sapiens, which emerged in Africa around 300,000 years ago. These early humans were hunter-gatherers who had developed the ability to use tools and communicate with complex language.
Early humans first appeared in Africa. The oldest known fossils of early human ancestors, such as Ardipithecus and Australopithecus, have been found in East Africa, indicating that Africa is the continent where early humans originated.
The exact location where the first humans were born is still a topic of debate among scientists. However, evidence suggests that early homo sapiens likely originated in Africa.
