Weathering does not necessarily have to take place before erosion. While weathering is the breakdown of rocks into smaller particles, erosion is the process of transporting these particles to a new location. Weathering can occur simultaneously with erosion or even after erosion has started.
Weathering is the disintegration and decomposition of rock at or near the surface of the Earth. Erosion is the transportation of material by water, wind, or ice. Simplistically, weathering is the breakdown of rocks and erosion is the carrying away of the broken down fragments.
Factors: Erosion occurs because of factors like wind, water, ice, human activities like deforestation etc. Weathering, on the other hand is caused by contact with the earth's atmosphere. These atmospheric conditions may be heat, pressure etc. Movement: Erosion is caused by the movement of eroding agents while in weathering there is no movement. Weathering is caused when rocks come in contact with atmospheric conditions but there is no movement involved of either of the components.
Weathering: disintegration, decomposition, deterioration Erosion: abrasion, corrosion, scouring Deposition: accumulation, sedimentation, deposit
erosion
first the weathering happens which causes an erosion which makes deposition.
The Arkansas River was formed by erosion, not deposition.
Erosion is when..................................................................................................................................................and weathering is when......................................................................................................!
flowing water
Yes, erosion is a synonym of weathering.
weathering then erosion ,then deposition

Because the bigger the load is, more weathering and erosion there is. The less of it means less of weathering and erosion.
Changes caused by weathering and erosion typically occur over long periods of time due to the gradual wearing down of rocks and landforms by natural elements like wind, water, and ice. In contrast, changes caused by earthquakes happen suddenly and are the result of tectonic plate movement, leading to rapid shifts in the Earth's crust. Both processes can alter the Earth's surface, but weathering and erosion are slow and gradual, while earthquakes are sudden and more dramatic.
