Configuration and installation meanings?

In computing, configuration can be defined as 'producing required data or synthesizing using correct information to get the expected behavior or programmed behavior or performance', while installation can be defined as 'attaching different devices or software components to resolve dependencies and integrate them to acheive their independent capabilities'. Installation accually always precedes when it is related to software, where as configuration may sometime precede when it is related to hardware.
