There are some serious Legal issues here worthy of the sagacity of a Solomon. First of all, much child abuse is perpetrated by WOMEN. Often Mothers and Foster Moms. It is one of the few violent crimes that women dominate the charts ( this was confirmed in a chat with a former Prison security guard who was one duty in a female prison at one time)- Chronic shoplifters, Drug addicts and pushers- but more commonly- in the ( secure) blocks- CHILD ABUSERS ! That"s the gals in the big house! Child Abusers are locked up in the secure blocks- they are considered dangerous Cons- which they are. Noinetheless, Judges are reluctant to break up families- and nearly always side with the woman. Ideally women are supposed to be motherly- but... Still the judicial line is to try to keep the family intact, even if the Mommy is a homicidal child abuser! A case in point was the Roxanne Felumero tragedy where a female Judge was shown ( by the newspapers) to be in a decidedely negative light. A Motherless family is a real, potential disaster area- but the courts are reluctant to break up the families- it is a sick situation. We need a Solomon to get at a balanced line- not in the radio transmission sense.
