Article 1, Section 7, and Clause 1 provides the House of Representatives with the power to regulate all revenue bills (i.e., taxes). This is known as the Origination Clause. Although the senate is prohibited from originating any revenue bill, they are permitted to amend the bill, once it has been passed through the House.
The Senate is responsible for ratifying treaties in the United States. According to the Constitution, a two-thirds majority vote in the Senate is required for a treaty to be ratified. The House of Representatives does not have a role in the treaty ratification process.

The Senate and the House of Representatives.
In the United States, both the House of Representatives and the Senate can propose bills concerning how the state spends money. However, according to the Origination Clause in the Constitution, bills for raising revenue must originate in the House of Representatives.
In order to propose an amendment to the U.S. Constitution, two-thirds (66.67) of both the House of Representatives and the Senate must agree to it.
The framers of the Constitution anticipated that the Senate would be an equal arm of the government. The House of Representatives is a representational arm of government.
