Voice box: The voice box, or larynx, is the portion of the respiratory (breathing) tract containing the vocal cords which produce sound. It is located between the pharynx and the trachea. The larynx, also called the voice box, is a 2-inch-long, tube-shaped organ in the neck
The mucus membranes of the LARYNX.
Epiglottis
The part of the respiratory tract between the pharynx and the trachea, having walls of cartilage and muscle and containing the vocal cords enveloped in folds of mucous membrane.the voice box in which contains the vocal cords in the neck
The Adam's apple appears when the thyroid cartilage in your neck increases in size. This occurs due to the effects of testosterone, and is associated with male puberty. The thyroid cartilage increases in size to allow the vocal cords underneath to lengthen, which is what allows men to develop a deeper voice than women or children. The Adam's Apple is the protrusion of the thyroid cartilage around the larynx, which serves to protect the vocal cords and to provide support for seveal laryngeal muscles.
the throat is the whole structure that involves the pharynx and the larynx and lies at the front of the neck . So, it refers to the entire respiratory passage. the upper part of the throat is the larynx that contains the vocal cords. The space between the vocal cords is called the glottis and the folding that covers this space while swallowing is called the epiglottis. As for the pharynx, is the part of the throat that leads to the esophagus and the trachea. the trachea ( the windpipe) is the tube that connects the pharynx and larynx to the lungs.
I dont have the exact answer but it is to do with the muscles in the neck and the vocal cords. The tighter the vocal cords the higher the pitch of voice.. I wonder if this is partly also contributed to by testosterone in males that may explain why the voice of males is lower to womens. Look through some anatomy text it should help.
The Adam's Apple is the common name of the laryngeal prominence in the neck caused by the larynx and associated structures in the neck. All people have this, men have more prominence than women since the size of their vocal cords are bigger with their deeper voices after puberty. Its inherited features are the size of the larynx and the length and thickness of the neck that allow the prominence to be more obvious.
This is call the larynx.

no it does not.
The vocal cords, located in the voice box in the middle of the neck, are two tough, fibrous bands that vibrate to produce sound.
The larynx is commonly known as the "voicebox."The medical term for the voice box is the larynx. The larynx is the voice box. This is why you get hoarse when you have laryngitis, which is inflammation of the larynx.
The head and neck surgeon (otorhinolaryngologist) must see the vocal cords to diagnose these lesions
It's where at least one of your vocal cords can't move. It effects how you talk or sing. Your voice will be weak and airy.
Yes they can, a person who has a broken neack only brakes their neak bone not their vocal cords
It depends on what you mean by "trouble breathing" In order to speak, you must be able to force air up the windpipe (trachea) and through the vocal cords in the voice-box (larynx). Air passing through the vocal cords causes them to vibrate and make sound. In general, the harder it is to breathe through your voicebox, then the harder it is to talk. If you mean that you are having trouble breathing through your nose, then you might be able to talk just fine, so long as you can breathe easily through your voicebox and pass air through your mouth. If you have a hoarse voice because of swelling or a growth on the vocal cords, you might still be able to breathe OK, depending on the size or extent of the problem with the vocal cords. If there is swelling, or there is a mass, such as a tumor higher in your throat, you might be able to get enough air, but the air-flow could be reduced such that the voice is muffled, but the voice might not necessarily be hoarse if the vocal cords were not involved. If a swelling or mass in your throat or voice-box becomes so large as to threaten to block your airway completely, a surgeon might have to put a tracheostomy tube in your neck to allow you to breathe through the tube. With a tracheostomy tube in place, you might be breathing easily, but would have no voice because the air from your lungs goes out the tube before it can get to the voice-box.
There are several organs of the human body that help in speaking. They include the lungs, larynx, vocal folds, and the tongue. The teeth, jaw and articulators also help when a person is speaking.
press your vocal cord when u sing ps its located on ur neck
