I would never convert a 1967 Impala 4 speed to A/T. It is worth more in 4 speed form. But yes it can be done. You will need the transmission and torque converter with the correct bellhousing. You will need the transmission mount cross member, and more than likely the drive shaft. You will also need a floor shifter which would be easy to purchase. You could fabricate the cross member mount and the drive shaft if need be.
In the tranny.

I have a 2004 Chevy Malibu Classic with a 2.2 Ecotec engine and a 4speed automatic overdrive tranny. It gets a steady 31mpg if driven easy. 55 and lower. Occasionally it will get up to 33mpg. As low as 27 in the Winter and pushing the speed.
It would be the 700R4
